« on: February 11, 2010, 09:45:47 AM »

After our Committe Meeting Last Night we have locked in the Following Speed Event dates as Club Chapionship rounds in 2010:

2009/10 Season:
Round 3: 7th  March 2010 - Haunted Hills Hillclimb.

2010/11 Season:
Round 1: 29th May 2010 - Phillip Island (Jag Club).
Round 2: 3th or 4th (TBC) July 2010 - Haunted Hills (FPV Club)
Round 3: 12th September 2010 -  Mallala SA (Skyline Nationals)
Round 4: 31st October 2010 - Sandown (HSV Club)
Round 5: TBC Late November 2010 - Winton

We will ad a couple more Go Kart days in between rounds on the quieter periods, TBA.

As of the 2010/11 Season, Classes will remain the same but there will be a change to allow "Semi comp" Tyres in all classes.

You will need CAMS licences to compete in the 2010/11 Season events.

I hope to see you all supporting these events as we have have worked hard with other clubs to get involved in different events that we do not have to finance.

Yes, PI, in my opinion  is one of the best tracks (add Clarkson pause) in the world.

Name your favourite bit!

Mine is the run over Lukey Heights where everything goes light. Or the blat from the entry of Honda to the hayshed.

Blue, Lukey Heights is fun and turn 1 is just a ballsy corner.
Wheesy, I ran at Sandown last weekend with the HSV's there are some moneys no object dunnydores that are 10 sec per lap slower than the V8 Supercars - road registered!

HSV may never have managed to build and sell the 427 Monaro but I am sure some of the buyers of HSV cars have managed to build them aftermarket.

Jeez Cazz, I really really hope that the RAAF base sprint does not clash with PI now. You have of course got an automatic invite tot he RAAF bas e sprint if it does not clash (As has everyone else in CSA who has a CAMS license) I will put supp regs for that out through Brent when they are available.

Yeah I figured, the type of owners would have money to throw at their boats. I know a few blokes like that.

Hoping some stock ones are out there really :)

At least my 20 sound better than any of their engines :P

P.I is awesome. So smooth and fast.  The main straight and into turn 1 is my favourite....top speed and turn it in......

Yeah baby - 2.0 litre for the win. (FJ in my case, oh and the RB in the case of the Passage)  Bit of info everyone, the HR31 of Rod Marklands is staying in the country, and will be a part of Nissan Heritage Motorsport from Mid year.  The GIO GTR and the Winfield GTR will be making an appearance at PI in March, along with my DR30.  Do I sound excited, fark yeah.

Cazz, do you still need/want me for a helper/dogsbody at PI?

I did not realise that the HR31 going out of the country was on the cards. We need more of these on track not less.

Brent, if we are looking for another sprint opportunity, at last count the RAAF base sprint was going to be set in June sometime. The AGM was this week so I should hear for certain pretty soon.

OK, the current proposed date for the RAAF base sprint is June 13 which is the Sunday of the Queens Birthday weekend. If people want a run I will get supp regs on here as soon as the date is confirmed (We have to fit in with other clubs calendars, CAMS AND negotiate with the RAAF for approvals to run the event)

For anyone who is having V8 nightmares after Haunted Hills, Kevin is keen to bring Viagra along to the RAAF base sprint. My car is good for about one minute flat lap times and Viagra used to do about 55s when it had an auto in it.

Just a question.  Has Round 2 of our championship been confirmed??  I see it's the 3rd or 4th of July at Haunted Hills.  Is it still on?

Cheers
